CHINAPLAS 2026 Concludes Successfully!
The four-day CHINAPLAS 2026 international plastics and rubber show has wrapped up successfully in Shanghai. As Asia’s most influential plastics & rubber industry event, this exhibition gathered leading global enterprises and specialists to discuss the future of material innovation and sustainable development.
BOTEC was honored to take part in this grand event and created many memorable highlights. Here is our full recap from the show floor:

✅ Day 2 of Exhibition: Official DIN Certification Presented On-site
On April 22, Day 2 of the show, BOTEC witnessed the most significant milestone of the exhibition: DIN officials visited our booth and formally presented the Home Compostable Certification certificate.
This certification serves as authoritative recognition of BOTEC Seaweed Film. It verifies that our material is naturally eco-friendly and fully home-compostable, complying with strict biodegradation standards.
We sincerely appreciate the recognition and support from DIN authorities, which motivates us to keep advancing the innovation and commercialization of seaweed-based materials.
✅ Pre-show Forum: In-depth Exchange with Industry Experts at CPRJ Forum
Ahead of the exhibition opening, BOTEC was invited to join the CHINAPLAS × CPRJ Forum. We held in-depth discussions with worldwide senior specialists, scholars and corporate representatives on development trends of sustainable packaging materials.
During the forum, we shared BOTEC’s R&D achievements in seaweed-based materials, and gained valuable insights from industry professionals to lay a solid foundation for future product upgrades and global market expansion.
✅ Exhibition Floor: Dual Booths at Main Hall & Hong Kong Pavilion
Throughout the exhibition, BOTEC operated two booths simultaneously:
· Main Booth 1.2K64: Full display of fromSeaweed seaweed film and its innovative applications, including screen protective film, metal protective film, size labels, sealing stickers, box window film, envelope window film and edible seaweed film. Its natural, eco-friendly and home-compostable features attracted numerous visitors for in-depth communication.
· Hong Kong Pavilion Booth A32, Hall 7.2: With strong support from Hong Kong Plastics Manufacturers Association (HKPMA), we set up a display zone in the Hong Kong Pavilion to strengthen connections with local and global clients.
